Keyence's VHX-1000D Digital Microscope can be used to capture and measure 2D as well as 3D objects. At the IBF, all types of micrographs are analysed with the microscope, but also, for example, surface structures produced by Riblet Rolling are recorded and subsequently measured. The two lenses cover a wide magnification range (20x to 2500x), and in combination with the stitching function, larger sample areas can be examined.
