The Hot-Gas-Bulgetest is developed within the AiF projects with the IGF numbers 17586 and 19299. The purpose of this unique test bench is the determination of material data for the hot stamping of steel. The test bench allows for the austenitization of boron steels, controlled and fast cooling to testing temperature and testing of the metastable austenite. The following data can be obtained, data for the extrapolation of tensile test data, forming limit curves and bi-axial stress point and bi-axial anisotropy.
