The press DCS 2000 from the Servotest company is one of several hydraulic presses available at the Institute of Metal Forming. It is used at the institute to carry out comression tests, primarily on cylindrical samples, Rastegaev samples and stacked layer samples for flow curve determination. It is also used for the determination of recrystallization kinetics via characteristic points and for the deformation of double cone samples, which are used for the determination of the grain size.
