The torsion plastometer STD 812 from TA Instruments is used in a variety of applications at the Institute of Metal Forming. It is used at the Institute for the execution of classical torsion tests as well as for the execution of basic tests for joint formation during roll cladding. It is also suitable for the flow curve determination and for tensile tests at higher temperatures.
